This is a little late, but a few weeks ago I appeared on an episode of Inside the Box with Ty Pennington, on the W Network. I was assisting my friend Michelle Folliot in the redesign of her bedroom. I was responsible for designing and constructing the textiles such as the bedding, the pillows, the curtains etc. We created some pretty interesting things out of cheap and raw materials such as a lamp shade made of doilies, india ink and glue. It was a high pressure situation, but we won the challenge in the end! Here are the “before” and “after” photos of Michelle’s bedroom.

These three pieces were part of a design competition for a casual Scouts Canada clothing line and came in second place as honorable mention. The pieces were designed by Mystica Cooper and Angella Mackey and were created to inspire the need for functionality and fun in active wear. The pieces are unique in there design as the serve dual purposes for the user; the hoodie doubles as a comfy seat or a removable pillow, the t-shirt has cooling vents for active users and the vest has a detachable back pack!!!
